Digital Video Resource Library Utilization Guide

This guide is designed for use by LAUSD IMaST teachers to support integration of the Futures Channel Digital Video Resource Library (DVRL) into Grades 6-8 mathematics and science lessons.

The DVRL itself comes with a lesson-planning CD which correlates its 67 movies and Movie Guides to hundreds of specific mathematics and science concepts, knowledge and skills. This IMaST guide supplements that correlation with additional recommendations for use of the DVRL with the chapters of the math and science texts used in LAUSD middle grades, as well as recommendations for use of the DVRL in support of the curriculum prescribed in the LAUSD mathematics and science instructional guides.
