Futures Channel Movie	#4012, Designing Sunglasses - Watch as a new model of sunglasses goes from design sketch to finished product.
Chapter Engagement	Tell students they are going to watch a video about a kind of inventor, and that after the video you want them to be able to tell you what information this person has to have in order to do his job well. Then show Futures Channel Movie #4012, Designing Sunglasses. After the video, guide discussion to address the fact that the designer has to know what kinds of sunglasses people want to buy, and what size heads they have. Ask students how they think he finds that out—does he have to ask get data in the whole country? Lead students to understand that its possible to gather data from only a portion of the population, but it takes some math to do that right. Explain that they will learn more about that in this chapter.
